JOB TITLE: Event Marketing Intern
REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager
GROUP: Communications

The intern will contribute to the digital marketing, planning and logistics of the annual REimagine! Conference and Expo. They will see first-hand what goes into making an event happen, including event marketing, session planning and event logistics. The position will work directly with the Marketing Manager to update the event website and track digital engagement for email and social media campaigns.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up and track post-event results including analyzing attendee and session surveys, gathering attendee feedback testimonials and other post-event items
Work closely with marketing team on event logistics including managing content and schedule updates on event websites. Help coordinate speaker and session logistics including communication with and following up with speakers on contracts, bios, headshots, presentations, videos and other event collateral. Intern will also be responsible for researching innovative conference ideas, event vendors and attendee engagement ideas
Track performance results – provide performance analytics on marketing promotions (email and social media)
Perform other job duties as assigned
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Some college completed (college level Communications or Marketing courses preferred)
Intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience using website platform tools such as Wix
ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Requires excellent oral and written communication skills and outstanding customer service orientation
Must be able to function effectively in a variety of challenging situations and circumstances, including difficult project deadlines, demanding customers, tight budgets and evolving goals and objectives
Must be able to work effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner
Excellent work ethic and attendance
Listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others
Keeping others informed of work progress, timetable and issues
