Established Monterey-based mechanical trade professional contractor seeking a trained, self-motivated, and trustworthy HVAC Service Technician - Installer to join our team. This role will serve Central and Northern California. Qualifications: We require candidates to have a high school diploma or GED Basic understanding of electrical wiring and connections Candidate is comfortable working in attics and crawl spaces PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The employee frequently is required to sit, talk, or listen. The employee is occasionally required to stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. Frequent walking, including going up and down stairs and ladders, and bending is required. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. IDEAL CANDIDATE: • A minimum of 1-2 years experience apprenticeship or three years of HVAC troubleshooting/installation experience, repair and maintenance, and energy efficiency controls (Required) • Experience with RTU, FCU, heat pumps, boilers, exhaust systems, gas packs, split systems, mini-splits, wall-mount, and more (Preferred) • Must be able to climb ladders, work from heights and in small spaces and be physically agile to perform required work • Will be expected to read blueprints and diagrams • Reliable transportation/Clean DMV (required) • Reliable tools (required) • Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills • Basic math and writing skills • Maintain a professional attitude at all times • Safety - follow safe operating procedures at all times • Plumbing and electrical skills (a plus) • Refrigeration installation (a plus) Compensation: $27 - $31 hourly
