    Job Description

    California-Nevada JATC is currently seeking experienced qualified Journeyman Linemen for an INSTRUCTOR POSITION. We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic individuals interested in the training, instruction and certification of apprentices, journeyman and other industry classification workers.

    This full-time position will be located at our Woodland Training Center located in Northern California.

    THE SUCCESSFUL SELECTED CANDIDATE SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

    *IBEW Journeyman Lineman.

    *Completed an Outside Line registered apprenticeship program.

    *Self-starting motivational personality with the ability to bring and maintain a positive attitude.

    *Have a strong desire to teach and mentor students with the ability to make learning fun and interesting.

    *Ability to clearly communicate verbally and written in a professional manner with colleagues, students, and staff.

    • Basic knowledge and use of computers (Windows, Power Point, Word and Video files).

    *Able to present new ideas and methods as well as support tried-and-true methods.

    *Prior experience teaching apprentices both on the job and in the classroom is preferred but not required.

    *Ability to climb poles and towers.

    *Ability to present new ideas and methods as well as support tried-and-true methods.

    SALARY:

    Starting pay is $100.96/hour

    BENEFITS:

    Health Insurance: Employer pays 100% of insurance premium for Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO plan.

    RETIREMENT:

    SEP account -15% of wages is contributed by Cal-Nev JATC on behalf of the employee. Contributions to SEP accounts are always 100 percent vested or owned by the employee.

    And

    N.E.B.F.  National Electrical Benefit Fund                                                                              

    3% contribution by Cal-Nev JATC to the National Electrical Benefit Fund on behalf of the employee.

    18% contributed to retirement on your behalf. 

    LEAVE:  Paid vacation and sick leave; 10 paid Holidays per year.
