    The Assistant Manager job opening is a newly created position, we are seeking top tier performers! High level execution in this position is critical to our continued growth and success. We are looking for a strong minded, intelligent, hardworking, resilient individual with leadership experience preferably in the recycling, export or shipping industries.

    JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

    Oversees, evaluates and ensures performance of dispatching, scale house, billing, customer service, human resources and marketing.

    Oversee accurate pricing and up to date purchase orders for new and existing customers

    Audit billing for both customers and vendors by making corrections and providing feedback to the right personnel.

    Interact with purchasing, scale house and customer payables to ensure on time and accurate payments.

    Ensure customer pricing is accurately updated into our company software

    Oversee check accuracy, ensure timely voids of checks container errors

    Oversee month end closing and payment procedure for all customers

    Plan and implement quality assurance for all processes

    Personnel development; staff meetings

    Improve customer service experience, create engaged customers and facilitate organic growth

    Taking ownership of customers issues and following problems through to resolution

    Develop service procedures, policies and standards

    Keep accurate records and document customer service actions and discussions

    Analyze statistics and compile accurate reports

    Oversee sales activity tracking and statistics, compile accurate and timely reports

    Assist in recruiting, mentoring and developing strong team members and nurture an environment where they can excel through encouragement and empowerment.

    Control resources to utilize assets to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets

    Communicates and follows up on production goals and objectives with Ops manager

    Communicates company goals with administrative team

    Assist in day-to-day supervision, scheduling, conflict resolution and disciplining

    THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

    3 years’ experience in leadership, customer service, billing and/or management

    Competitive Drive, Resiliency, Follow Through and Positive Attitude

    Recycling or Commodity Experience Highly Desired

    Experience in customer service and billing

    College degree highly desired

    Experience in CRM programs and enterprise type software

    Strong mathematical, problem solving and analytical skills

    Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

    Quick learner and intelligent

    Excellent multi-tasking and project management

    Strong leadership and organizational skills

    Strong MS Office (Excel) and computers skills

    Ability to learn new software quickly

    Effective communication and interpersonal skills

    Strong problem-solving skills

    The desire to do the job right every time

    COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

    • Hourly $17.50-$21 DOE
