Job Description

We are seeking a full-time experienced Accounting Assistant to join our accounting department. The ideal candidate is an organized professional, detail oriented and execution driven. The Accounting Assistant will report directly to the Controller. As an Accounting Assistant, you must be able to cooperate well with your team in order to support and inspire one another to achieve individual, department and company goals.

Hourly position: Pay range $17.00-$19.00 DOE.

LOCATION:

Jurupa Valley, CA. 92509

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE

·         Update and manage all invoices in customer portal, email invoices to customer in a timely manner

·         Receive checks and apply payment on open invoices

·         Weekly invoice error correction of rejected invoices, including research in client’s system

·         Processing credits on incorrect billing

·         Collection and make phone calls daily for aging customer

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

·         Process and enter all bills from vendor. Dispute all bills with discrepancy

·         Review timecard weekly for worker and send to all staffing agencies

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

·         At least two years AR & AP

·         High level proficiency using Excel spreadsheets, proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP, strong analytical thinking skills

·         Excel: Must know Vlookup, formulas, and how to run detailed reports

·         Excellent math skills

·         Comfortable dealing with numbers and the processing of financial information

·         Detail oriented

·         Confidentiality and trustworthiness

·         Excellent ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks
