Job Description
Small residential real estate firm in the Vinings/Cumberland area has an immediate opening for an experienced closing attorney to join our team.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 3 - 5 years of specific closing experience working for a busy law firm as an attorney for residential closings with a strong background in investor closings
Specific experience with title clearance and all aspects of the closing process from contract setup to post-closing
Superior customer service skills and a great attitude
Creative problem solver; someone who can examine the issue, find multiple solutions that work for all parties involved, and then structure a legal solution
Tech savvy, including work within Citrix, and proficiency with Google for Business, G-Suite, and MS Office
Experience with SoftPro Standard or Enterprise
Must have a JD from an accredited law school
Must be licensed to practice in Georgia, currently active and in good standing
Must have a current Georgia notary commission
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Close transactions by assisting with the signing, funding, and filing of documents that convey title of property
Prepare and review documents such as deeds, easements, lease, and lease-purchase contracts, mortgages, purchase and sale contracts, refinances, and title examinations
Provide top-notch customer service in partnership to our clients
Manage and open new files in SoftPro Standard
Professionally communicate with brokers, builders, agents, and lenders throughout the closing process
Obtain title, taxes, payoffs, HOA letters, termite, survey, prepare title commitments, and cure title issues.
Accurately prepare preliminary and final title opinions, prepare title policies, review loan documents follow up for cancellations needed for post-closing
Manage any post-closing follow-up

Extremely detail-oriented
Excellent communicator who enjoys working closely with clients - investors, lenders, realtors and mortgage professionals, buyers and sellers
Independent but is a team player
Takes initiative and enjoys problem solving
