We're in search of a highly organized, responsible, motivated, and creative household manager and nanny for up to 20 hours/week. We have older kids- 14 yr old twins and an 11-year old - but need additional support as two busy working parents with full time jobs. With the current context of both of us working primarily from home and the kids starting school from home, we are looking for another person to help engage the kids and generally to help our house run a little more smoothly! We're a very active family with a love of the outdoors and passion for spending time with our friends in Seattle. Our kids are easygoing - academically motivated and engaged in a lot of activities (soccer, ultimate frisbee, dance), with friends right in the neighborhood, and able to maintain a pretty good attitude about the changes of this past year. We aren't sure exactly what the new school year will hold but know that we need assistance in ensuring that the kids get some extra attention and that we are able to spend our increasingly limited free time with them. Some of our needs can be performed outside of the regular work hours so there is flexibility in the hours and times of day that things could get done. We are looking for someone who will: * Provide some structure and supervision to our kids as they work their way through the new Seattle schools remote learning. It will be important to just ensure that they are generally keeping up with classes, attending the live classes when they are held, and establishing a good rhythm of class and after-school work as needed. * Do basic family chores and errands: grocery shopping, kids' appointments, package return/drop-off, doing light laundry, tidying up kitchen and kids' rooms, restocking basic household items, etc. * Help us maintain an overall shared family calendar. * Make dinner 2-3 times per week - basic balanced meals that we can suggest. * If/as some activities/social activities begin again for the kids, drive them to their activities. We will likely have a car available for use, but it's preferred if you have your own car to use. *We are actively practicing safe social distancing and staying relatively isolated from most families though the kids do interact with a few friends outdoors. We are looking for someone who will commit to maintaining a limited social network and practice safe social distancing and personal protection. Pay will be commensurate with experience but expecting $20-30 / hr based on experience.
