A young and growing multijurisdictional law firm seeks full-time Paralegal to support our Litigation Departments in our Hawley, PA and Ramsey NJ offices! Callinan and Smith is a high volume, fast-paced, multi-office law firm representing insurance carriers in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania in connection with coverage, general liability, bodily injury, homeowners and no-fault litigation matters. Our Litigation Paralegals work directly with the Litigation Attorneys and assist in their daily operations.

Paralegal Duties and Responsibilities

• draft motions, affidavits, arbitration submissions, memos and other legal documents;
• case research;
• e-filing with court;
• track motions status and responses from opposing counsel and courts;
• process incoming legal documents;
• assist with calendaring and preparation for any attorney court appearances;
• client interaction regarding status and updating cases notes. ****

Requirements and Qualifications

We are looking for team members who:

• possess strong written and verbal communication skills;
• proficient proofreading and researching skills;
• willingness to work meticulously to ensure the quality of work;
• minimum one (1) year of work experience in a law firm environment;
• previous experience in insurance is a plus, but not required;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Analytical skills; and
• Attention to detail.
