INVESTOR RELATIONS AND CLIENT SERVICES ASSOCIATE
Job Description
Investor Relations and Client Services professional to report to two Principals of a Commercial Real Estate Private Debt firm. This person will help support and manage the relationships with the firm’s investors, which include pension funds, endowments and ultrahigh net worth individuals. This position will be onsite at Calmwater’s new headquarters located in El Segundo, California. Calmwater currently has a hybrid work policy with team members in the office three days a week.
INVESTOR RELATIONS
· Proactively manage investor relationships for the firm and effectively articulate the firm’s strategy to investors and other stakeholders
· Log, track and respond to inquiries with a focus on articulate and efficient communication with the Fund’s investors
· Conduct periodic visits with investors and consultants to provide updates on the firm and its investments
· Maintain and update internal investor and consultant database and develop and manage relationships with potential investors
MARKETING
· Create high-impact marketing materials, including firm and fund presentations, fact sheets, competitor analyses, case studies, and customized reports
· Prepare regular investor letters, investment and market commentaries, and presentations for the annual general meeting and advisory committee meeting
· Plan and coordinate regularly occurring investor events such as the annual general meeting and advisory board meeting as well as marketing events for other stakeholders
· Assist in building positive exposure and brand awareness for the firm and ensure best practices in communicating the firm’s strategy and core principles
· Manage and oversee content and updates to the firm’s website
· Liaise with the CCO to ensure all marketing and reporting materials are in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
RESEARCH/MISCELLANEOUS
· Monitor industry news, market reports, peer group activity, media coverage and compile regular reports and newsflashes for firm education as well as investor updates
· Prepare applicable information and contribute to the development and circulation of company press releases in coordination with the firm’s third-party marketing agency
QUALIFICATIONS
· 2-5 years of experiences
· Undergraduate degree required
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Powerpoint
· Ability to meet required deadlines, multi-task, prioritize, organize, and work calmly under pressure
· Careful attention to detail
· Ability to both follow instructions, and to think and work independently
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Knowledge of commercial real estate lending
