    Athletic Department Associate

    Reports to: CCA Athletic Director

    FLSA status: Hourly (Non-Exempt)

    Hours per week: 40 hours, Full-time

    Campus: Melbourne

    Job Summary:

    The position shall have responsibility for assisting the Athletic Director and Assistant Athletic Director in the over-all management of the CCA Athletic Program.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    · Assist the Assistant Athletic Director and Athletic Director in coordination of support personnel for all athletic contests, including game management, ticket sales, security, athletic trainer and emergency personnel and apparatus

    · Ability to evaluate, develop and implement athletic programs, activities, and events, and make effective recommendations related to those areas

    · Travel to athletic competitions and professional meetings as required

    · Assist in the supervision and athletic necessities of the athletic coaches

    · Represents the school as needed, at meetings for athletic program

    · Assist in ensuring that all applicable laws and regulations relating to athletics are applied and followed, including Title IX and other federal and state laws and regulations

    · Create materials to publicize athletic and sporting events

    · Coordinates with others for the purpose of scheduling activities for the athletic teams and scorers’ tables, half-time programs, police coverage, ticket sales, availability of on-site medical care, concessions, custodial services, and other related activities

    · Assist in managing accidents and injuries in accordance with school policies, and applicable laws and regulations, including reporting and documentation requirements

    · Maintain records and documents as required and necessary to ensure proper documentation of athletic program activities, events, participation, and related information for the purpose of complying with school policies as well as applicable laws and regulations

    · Be able to operate and maintain equipment and supplies related to sports, athletics, and physical fitness

    · Other duties as assigned by supervisor (Colossians 3:23)

    Job Skills and Competencies:

    · Hold and maintain first aid and CPR certification

    · Motor Vehicle Operator’s License or ability to provide own transportation

    · Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, etc.) software

    · Effective verbal and written communication skills

    · Ability to organize multiple tasks and conflicting time constraints

    Other Qualifications:

    · Must attend and participate in a local Bible-believing church

    · Keep the ministry in the forefront of all you do, with a servant heart and optimistic attitude (Philippians 2:3)

    · Conduct yourself in a manner that reinforces the core values and mission of Calvary Chapel and agree to our Statement of Faith

    · Function as a productive part of the church staff and attend staff meetings in coordination with direct supervisor (1 Peter 4:10)
