Reports to: Childcare Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (hourly) Hours per week: 18 hours, Part Time Campus: Melbourne

Job Summary: This position provides childcare services for church services, Bible studies, events, and other activities as determined.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist parents during sign-in and pick up • Interact with the children and focus on their needs at all times • Use planned curriculum and help children with their crafts • Remain in assigned room during your shift unless given permission from Team Lead/Coordinator • Accompany children to the playground or play areas and ensure rules are followed to prevent injuries • Guide children to the restroom and wait outside. For younger children-if assistance needed keep door cracked • Serve snacks to children • Change diapers (only female workers) with gloves and wash hands after each child • Clean rooms, toys, furniture, vacuum floors, and empty trash at shift-end • Assist volunteers in caring for the children • Attend all mandatory Childcare meetings and follow all CCM policies and childcare regulations • Travel to other campuses for special events or services • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Job Skills and Competencies: • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and communications skills, especially with parents • Ability to interact with children while managing the classroom • Ability to use or learn software programs for check-in process • Dependable team-player who promotes unity and works well with people at all levels of the organization • Ability to multi-task, follow through on assignments, with good decision-making skills • Willingness to participate in team-building projects and offer prayer when needed • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and adaptability to change • Ability to lift 35 pounds (35+ requires help)
