Calvary Episcopal Church Communications Coordinator July 15, 2021 Position Description The Communications Coordinator is a 10 hour per week part-time position supporting the Priest and Church by managing parish communications, particularly digital, and working with staff and volunteers to support their efforts. The Communications Coordinator reports to the Rector. Qualifications An efficient and detail oriented individual with a wide knowledge of software and social media appropriate for church communications on the website, emails, facebook, etc. A positive attitude, the ability to work with a variety of persons, engaging and outgoing, flexible and with the ability to meet deadlines. Duties - Post videos and photos and notification on Facebook at least one time/day - Update Website weekly and more often if needed - Send out weekly informational blast through email - Update screen streams in Frazer Hall and front waiting area weekly - Work with rector and Committee on Communication upgrades - Increase social medial presence with specific demographics in mind - Attend weekly staff meetings if possible - Attend Communication Committee meetings - Work with videographer and others to enhance on-line presence - Take photos, or designate others to take photos at all group events and other times throughout each week. - Maintain all photo and video waivers for those being photographed - Send out parish-wide mail-outs as needed - Work with Calvary Connection editor as needed - Work with area media to promote Calvary as possible - Make sure all print and on-line publications and posts are kept current - Make signs, banners, and other materials as needed to promote Calvary - Work with Welcome Committee and other groups in promotions - Other duties as assigned
