We have an opening for the right individual to assist Enterprise Architecture with data analysis, data modeling, reporting, and presentation. This role will include the opportunity to work with Data Architects to contribute to the development data architecture. The right candidate will communicate to and influence a broad level of audiences within IT and the Trustmark business units.  

Our internship program will include assigning a mentor at the Director or above level who will meet with you on a regular basis to ensure the quality of your assignment. We will also assign a local manager for day-to-day interactions. In this position, you will get exposure to executive management in the IT organization via 1:1’s and a presentation at the end of the summer assignment. Our internship will run from 6/1/20 to 8/7/20.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pulling and manipulating IT data from one or more tool sources.
• Performing quality and accuracy assessments of data and data sources
• Work with other department members to understand individual and team requirements of report objectives, presentation needs, and/or project deliverables.
• Assist in documenting data dictionary of source and target model
• Working on special initiatives which could include streamlining of processes, quality initiatives, or leading small scale projects.
• Assists or supports team members in resolving issues or analyzing trends within specific areas of IT services.
• Communicates effectively (both written and verbal) with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be graduating with a Bachelor's Degree between December, 2020 and Spring/Summer, 2021 to be considered.
• GPA of 3.0 or above required.
• Basic Knowledge of SQL and Databases required.
• Housing and transportation is NOT provided by Trustmark.
• Must have effective collaboration and strong oral and written communication skills.
• Analytics course work. Exhibits developing skills in manipulating data and creating business presentations preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Good organization skills and capable of managing multiple tasks or writing requests
• Strong writing skills, with the ability to decipher data findings into applicable trends, observations and recommendations.
• Must be able to work full-time hours of: 37.5 hours per week during the summer.
