    Position Summary**
    Under minimal supervision, in collaboration with Ortho Manager and the Orthodontist, is responsible for treatment planning for orthodontic treament. Exercises initiative and independent judgment while ensuring high level of service to achieve exceptional patient satisfaction and promote the growth and retention of the business. Solves patient issues and works to building orthodontic schedules. Decisions made may have a major impact on patient retention, compliance, resources, and service as well as public image.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Dental Office Operations

    • In collaboration with the Orthodontist, ensures that operations result in safety and effectiveness of the treatments and satisfied patients.

    • Reports issues to management and technology areas, as appropriate.

    • Treatment plans all orthodontic cases for traveling orthodontist; performance will depend on conversion rates and starts

    • Resolves patient relations problems or answers questions, in person, email or via the telephone to ensure patient satisfaction.

    • Requires compiling, organizing and reviewing information and using established guidelines or procedures to determine the appropriate course of action in daily work situations.

    • May require research and analysis to determine the appropriate approach to a complex situation.

    • May consult with Supervisor, when necessary.

    • Follows all BDG standard operating procedures.

    • Performs administrative activities associated with effective management of assigned dental office's operations, including compiling, analyzing, storing, and retrieving data for reports and sending out preauthorization and checking insurance eligibility.

    • Produces correspondence, memos, charts, tables, reports, etc.

    • Evaluates office over office performance and determines ways to increase consults and starts.

    • Helps patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment. Provides patients with instructions for follow-up oral care, follow-up appointments, etc.

    • Handle emergency situations by following established policies and procedures.

    • Understands all roles in the dental office.

    Dental Office Growth

    • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with patients and the community in order to ensure satisfaction new or repeat patients or referrals.
    • Monitor key indicators daily to evaluate attainment of office goals.
    • Helps Coordinate marketing promotions and discounts.

    Minimum Qualifications (Industry, Work Experience and/or Education)

    • High School Diploma or GED required.

    • Bachelor's Degree (business, marketing or related field) desirable.

    • Minimum of three years of dental (Orthodontic) industry experience required.

    • Computer Skills Microsoft Windows environment with Office Suite to include formatting and production of letters and memos.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

    • Experience in using dental practice management software preferred. (Dentrix Enterprise)

    • License, Registration, or Certifications Unexpired State Driver's License.

    • CPR Certification preferred.

    • Ability to reconcile financials received at Dental office.

    Other

    • Regular attendance is required including varied hours and working locations (15 offices in Nevada, 1 to 2 times each month)
    • At times, individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to handle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to consult Supervisor when necessary.
    • Overtime requires approval by Supervisor.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. It also requires manual dexterity in combination of eye / hand coordination. Work environment is subject to many interruptions, varying and unpredictable situations and time pressures related to multiple tasks. Work is normally performed inside. There is exposure to chemicals and cleaning supplies.
