Reporting to the Retail Pricing Manager the role of Caltex Pricing Analyst is all about generating value by providing insights and implementing pricing strategies within our Caltex retail business that drive profitability.
You will recommend strategic price moves, keep an eye on competitor activities and use market intelligence to drive strategic decision making. You’ll also mentor sales teams to ensure pricing controls are maintained, lead adhoc promotional activity to stimulate volume growth and use your analytical skills to uncover profit improvement opportunities and areas of concern to support timely, well informed decision making.
An experienced relationship manager with awesome communication skills, you enjoy the influencing outcomes by articulating the rationale behind decisions using data to bring others along with you.
Highly analytical with strong attention to detail, you have the ability to look beyond the numbers and understand the implications of pricing strategies and decisions. Working alongside the Retail Fuels Pricing Manager and the Caltex Sales team you’ll deliver target margins across the Retail network by implementing pricing decisions at the pump that deliver results.
As a pricing system SuperUser you’ll own the integrity of our pricing systems and maintain our customer pricing groups to ensure our pricing is competitive.
This role requires you to be available to cover ad hoc on call work that may be required, one weekend a month.
With a demonstrated track record of success in similar environments you’ll have a relevant tertiary qualification ideally in marketing or commerce supported by experience with commodities.
