    ABOUT THE FACILITY & AREA…

    Hart Care Center is a 117-bed skilled nursing/long term care center located on Fairview Avenue in Hartwell, GA.

     

    In the historic square of Hartwell, Georgia, enjoy browsing through the quaint antique stores and unique gift shops offering original regional crafts and fine art. Sip coffee and soak in the artwork at the downtown art gallery with changing exhibitions, shop for fine clothing and dine at one of several restaurants. For entertainment, visit the community theater and a bluegrass music hall with weekly Saturday night performances featuring a live radio broadcast. Walking tours of historic downtown are available upon request. Situated on the shores of Hartwell Lake is Hart State Outdoor Recreation Area with camping, cabins and lots of lake activities.     POSITION SUMMARY

    The Rehabilitation Technician assists the therapists and assistants with patient related activities and direct patient care. The Rehabilitation Technician also assists the rehabilitation team with administrative duties as assigned by the Rehab Agency Administrator.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    1. Transport patients to and from therapy area and assist therapist as directed to prepare patients for assessments and treatments.
    2. Assists with transfer activities and lifting of patients and the use of mechanical lifts when indicated and as directed by Supervising Therapist.
    3. Prepare patients for treatment.
    4. Assist with treatment sessions as directed by therapists, per state regulations
    5. Report pertain patient related information to the therapist/therapist assistant regarding patients in a timely manner.
    6. Maintains the Rehab Agency equipment by cleaning, disinfecting, maintaining orderly condition and reporting defective equipment.
    7. Maintains an adequate stock of supplies and equipment.
    8. Documents and maintains patient records that reflect patient treatment: (Evaluation, daily treatment record, telephone order, billing).
    9. Participate in department meetings as assigned.
    10. Perform administrative duties as directed, including computerized activities.
    11. Perform other duties as assigned and directed.

    EXPOSURE RISK: The Rehabilitation Technician is at high risk for exposure to blood and bodily fluids.

    SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Rehab Agency Administrator and/or therapist as designated.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    1. Works in well-lit/ventilated office and therapy areas.
    2. Pressured work environment subject to frequent interruptions.
    3. Willingness to work in other facilities temporarily, when necessary.
    4. May be exposed to infectious diseases.

    2. Must be able to lift and carry small clinic equipment (exercise equipment, oxygen tanks, supplies, etc.
    3. Must be able to move (walk, bend, stand, sit, push, pull, lift) intermittently throughout the workday.
    4. Must be constantly alert for patient/resident

    Required Experience

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION: High School Graduate or GED Equivalent.
