    Cambridge International Systems has an immediate career opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join our IT Support Services team! The successful candidate will work under minimal direction providing systems engineering and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) to support emerging requirements, and enhance and develop IT capabilities in support of the Cambridge mission.

    The ideal candidate will support Cambridge  by providing IT support services to ensure the development, integration, deployment and sustainment of new systems, software and capabilities; the development of modifications to systems and equipment; and correction of deficiencies in systems and equipment:

    • Conduct requirements development

    • Establish and implement standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software

    • Perform Analyses of Alternatives, Gap Analyses and Functional Analyses to support system development

    • Analyze and recommend technical solutions for complex systems

    • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems and related software

    • Develop and review technical documentation

    • Ensure systems conform to Government Information Assurance standards

    • Troubleshoot and resolve operating system, software and networking problems

    • At least 5 years of recent hands-on experience working with Microsoft networks and back-office systems (MCSE/A 2012 or greater encouraged).

    • Experience developing high-level project/work plans.

    • Experience delivering solution and results on-time and with the highest quality possible.

    • Recent hands-on experience installing, configuring, and managing Windows Server (2012 and up), Exchange Server (2010 and up), SQL Server (2012 and up), Sharepoint (2012 and up).

    • Recent hands-on experience installing, configuring, and managing Windows desktop operating systems in a network environment (Windows 7 and up).

    • Experience planning and managing IT components of an office move/renovation.

    • Proficiency with Active Directory, domain controllers, IP addressing, DNS, VPNs, remote access, VLANs, and VoIP systems.

    • Experience installing and configuring managed network switches and firewalls.

    • Experience performing network upgrades and data migrations.

    • Experience managing third party vendors.

    • Experience managing Office 365 environments.

    • Experience performing migrations to Office 365, including mail migrations to Exchange Online and unstructured data migrations to SharePoint Online.

    • Experience managing AWS and Azure environments.

    • Optimize current infrastructure using industry best practices

    • Knowledge of NIST 800.171 standards

    • Conduct security and compliance related scans, remediating vulnerabilities and other findings as necessary.

    • Assist as necessary with any other assigned duties that may arise.

    • Ability to work both independently and on a team

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • MCSA/MCSE certification
    • ITIL v3 certification
    • Industry recognized certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, etc.) highly desirable

    Required Experience

    • 7+ years hands-on systems engineering experience in all phases of the IT service lifecycle

    • 7+ years hands-on experience installing, configuring and maintaining Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems and Windows domains

    • 5+ years hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting IT infrastructures

    • Must be able to pass federal government background check

    • B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
