    Quality Assurance Support Specialist, under the supervision of the Director of Quality Assurance & Compliance and the State Executive Director, helps ensure each program is being conducted in accordance with contractual requirements, state and federal guidelines, legal mandates and accreditation standards. The QA Support Specialist will assist in monitoring agency performance through review of program compliance and performance, and participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement activities across the State.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Assist the Director of Compliance & Quality Assurance and State Executive Director in maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal licensing regulations, Camelot policies and procedures, program guidelines and standards, Rule 132 Medicaid documentation and billing compliance and standards of accreditation bodies• Conducts and coordinates research, data collection and data analysis to assess effectiveness of programs and service delivery• Assist with the development and monitoring of the State Performance and Quality Improvement plan.• Assists in the monitoring and dissemination of all regulatory changes as they occur• Develop and distribute monthly CQI lists• Conduct at least quarterly compliance audits in all regional offices• Run monthly placement reports and review 906s to determine moves and identify entry errors• Maintain information related to staff resignation• Track compliance with personnel files across State, including completion of staff performance evaluations• Assist in the development and maintenance of procedural handbooks; reviewing and facilitating proposed changes to documentation as well as policies and procedures• Monitors MBS billing errors• Reviews/submits voids/edits in Avatar when requested

    QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPPORT SPECIALISTEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Four-Year College Degree; completion of college-level courses in human services, sociology, counseling, psychology, public or business administration, personnel administration or a field related to the programs being served; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS This positions requires the following additional qualifications.• Valid State Driver’s License (In good standing). If moving to Illinois after position is accepted, must obtain an Illinois Driver’s License within 30 days from Date of Hire.• Current physical and TB (PPD) test within 30 days of employment.• Appropriate automobile insurance (at least state minimum)• Signed employee acknowledgement of physical health and infection control responsibilities.• Ability to handle confidential information.• Ability to utilize computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and other office software products.
