PLEASE NOTE; THIS ROLE REPORTS TO OUR SCOTTSDALE OFFICE!
We are a luxury upper-end residential home builder seeking a Purchasing Agent to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and send master contracts to Trades for new communities and/or new Trades. Maintain updates and contract changes.
- Prepare budgets and purchase orders for residential homes starts including buyer's options.
- Provide assistance to Purchasing Manager to create and send outbid package for new subdivisions including plans, scopes-of-work, and standard and optional features to trades; receive and analyze price quotes/bids.
- Maintain project budgets once the home is started utilizing BuilderMT and Sales Simplicity software.
- Prepares, issues, and approves purchase orders and Trade invoices.
- Ensure the database for all plans and option pricing is updated to reflect accurate pricing at all times.
- Prepare project variance sheet.
- Work collaboratively with other departments including construction and accounting.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with trade contractors and suppliers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of residential purchasing and contracting experience in the home building field
- General knowledge of residential construction.
- Ability to read building plans
- Ability to develop and improve vendor partnerships
- Demonstrate proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
- Highly resourceful team player with the ability to also be independently effective
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in using MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Builder MT experience preferred
