    Cambridge International Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Security Systems Technician to join our team in Charleston, SC.  Qualified candidates must possess an active Secret clearance and US Passport.  Active TS clearance strongly desired.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist engineering with developing security systems designs utilizing digital signal formats and interfaces. Systems will include intrusion detection, access control, physical intrusion, and IP-based video.
    • Assist in the programming and troubleshooting of IDS/ACS control software. Desired vendor experience with AMAG, Lenel, and/or DMP.
    • Wire panels based on AV designs, mounting equipment into racks and onto walls, slabs, uni-strut supports, etc.
    • Installation of door strikes, magnetic locks, card readers, etc.
    • Terminate and test CAT6 and Fiber Connections
    • Follow and possibly red-line design drawings for as-built package generation
    • Assist project teams with producing project deliverables.
    • Assist with Pre-Installation and Check Out (PITCO) activities.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Two (2) years of experience and expert knowledge within the Audio/Visual industry.
    • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
    • A strong understanding of physical and electronic security
    • Secret clearance, US Passport required. TS clearance strongly desired.

     

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Desired manufacturer certifications include AMAG, Lenel, DMP, Bosch, Pelco, Axis, Honeywell, or similar.

  • Qualifications

     

    SKILLS:

     

    • Advanced formal training and minimum of bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Chemistry, Food Analysis, Food Processing or Microbiology
    • Strong planning and organization skills
    • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to conduct risk assessments, write and implement risk-based food safety management programs
    • Good problem solving and corrective action/resolution skills
    • Understand complaint database, EtQ, blockchain and other Dole systems as needed
    • Ability to manage a multidisciplinary team, covering food quality, sanitation, and safety at the growing, manufacturing, food processing levels, with a focus on continuous improvement
    • Ability to manage and lead through a dynamic and changing business landscape, supporting the team with change management
    • Demonstrate highly-developed communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to clearly understand, author and communicate highly technical subjects
    • Be able to make rapid, accurate decisions on issues of food quality and safety
    • Strong skills using Microsoft Windows and Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, Access, Internet Explorer and PowerPoint, Project and Visio) to aid in the effective communication of findings, conclusions and recommendations to business management.
    • Self-starter, ability to learn and adapt quickly. Highly motivated.  Committed to see problems through to resolution even beyond normal working hours.
    • Consumer Packaged Goods, Agriculture, or Food industry experience.
    • Foreign Language(s): Spanish desired but not required.
    • Ability to travel as < 40%
