Camp Bow Wow provides a fun, safe and upscale environment for dogs to play, romp and receive lots of love and attention! Camp Bow Wow is a premier doggy day care and overnight boarding facility. We are looking to hire fun, energetic people who LOVE dogs! Job Description: Camp Counselors support daily operations by overseeing the interactive behaviors of day care and overnight campers and maintaining a clean and safe facility. Full time/Part time Shifts: 6:30am to 1:30pm and 1pm to 7:30pm Must be able to work varying shifts per week and be available weekdays, some weekends and holidays. Job Duties and Responsibilities include: - Provide all Campers (dogs) with kindness and respect at all times. - Ensure the safety of all of our Campers by following strict operations policies. - Manage groups of up to 15 dogs in an open play yard environment - Understand the difference between dogs playing and dogs being aggressive. - Clean up dog waste in play yards consistently keeping it clear at all times. - Ensure a clean and sanitary facility at all times. - More cleaning...Yes, we do a lot of cleaning! - Basic dog grooming, baths, and nail trims. - Standing on your feet all day long and cleaning. It is a very labor-intensive environment. - Communicate effectively with peers and leadership. - Always be dependable and on time. - Multi-tasking abilities is a must and must be able to prioritize. - Regularly demonstrate sincere concern for the care, attitudes, and behaviors of pets and the relationships they have with their pet parent - Demonstrate a positive, fun attitude. Qualifications: - No experience required, but previous kennel experience a plus! - Passion for the care of dogs, no fear of dogs. - Comfortable around dogs of all sizes and temperaments. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Valid drivers license - Reliable transportation. - Able to pass a background/criminal check. - Fast, motivated learner. - Strong work ethic. - Strong communication skills. - Must be dependable and punctual- an absolute requirement. - Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. - Able to stand/walk for an entire shift. - Capable of lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds. Salary: $10.50 Hourly
