About THE SKATESIDE
Founded in 2015, THE SKATESIDE is Los Angeles’ leading youth skateboarding and roller skating program. Our mission is simple: More Kids Skating. We focus on building confidence, character, and community through inclusive, beginner-friendly programs that reach thousands of families each year.
Position Overview
The Camp Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring our day-to-day summer camp operations run smoothly and with heart. This person helps set up and break down equipment, supports staff and families, and ensures a safe, welcoming environment at camp. The ideal candidate is dependable, friendly, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, kid-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities
Transport and set up camp equipment (e.g., boards, pads, tents, cones)
Serve as the on-site point of contact for staff and families
Greet and check in campers, assist with questions or needs
Communicate effectively with coaches and admin team throughout the day
Ensure camps start and end on time
Support basic safety checks and help maintain a clean, organized environment
Assist with inventory tracking and minor restocking
Promote a positive, inclusive, and professional tone that reflects THE SKATESIDE values
Requirements
Must have a reliable car and valid driver’s license
Ability to lift and transport equipment (up to 30 lbs)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Friendly, professional, and calm under pressure
Available for summer season (June–August), typically 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Punctual, organized, and detail-oriented
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Experience with kids or in youth programs is a plus
