Job Description

• Organize and lead a variety of small and large group activities each week in the STEM specialty area.

• Help groups move between activities based on his/her group's assigned weekly schedule. 

• Identify and respond to camper behavior issues.

• Ensure that the site is kept clean, sanitized, organized, and free of litter.

• Know and understand ALL emergency procedures associated with the camp program.

• Know, enforce, and follow all safety guidelines associated with the camp and all program areas.  This includes but is not limited to being responsible for campers’ safety and their whereabouts at all times.

• Be Flexible and Fill in where needed.

• Have a great attitude!

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 yrs old

• High School Diploma

• 2 years experience working with children or in the area of STEM.

• Pediatric First Aid & CPR Certifications and/or Lifeguard/WSI Certifications at time of hire or able to obtain one month before session start date.

• Ability to lead, plan, organize, and implement program activities.

• Ability to work as a member of a team and the ability to accomplish tasks with independence, motivation, and responsibility.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Additional Information

Camp Curiosity will be hosting a Lifeguard Certification class on June 11-13, 2021 and CPR/First Aid class on June 13, 2021.
