    Welcome to Camp Kinneret! We are a summer day camp that prides itself on creating a fun, supportive environment for our campers and staff. We call ourselves a child-centered program, meaning that our attitude and approach to everything we do at camp focuses on creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our campers. The massive amounts of growth we see would not be possible without dedicated, caring individuals like you who want to make a difference in young people's lives. As a staff member at Kinneret, your summer will be full of singing and activities, developing relationships with campers, and ultimately, making a difference in campers' lives. In addition to the growth you will see in your campers, you will also face lots of growth! Through your challenges and successes, our Leadership Team (a group of camp and education professionals) will support and guide you as you become a stronger leader, develop important life skills, and have a lot of fun! If you are looking to join a supportive and fun community, then Kinneret is the place for you! 2023 Work Dates & Hours: This is a full-time summer position lasting 10 weeks. Work Dates: June 12 - August 18, Monday - Friday Work Hours: Approximately 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Positions Available: We have a variety of positions available, including counselors for camp groups, lifeguards/swim instructors, and activity instructors for pony riding, animal care, nature & ecology, wilderness play, farming & gardening, arts & crafts, performing arts, high ropes challenge courses, and rock climbing. Position Qualifications: Applicants must be college-aged or older. Certain positions may require specific certifications. Transportation: Staff ride the bus to camp each day with their campers. Buses leave from North Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, Encino, Tarzana, Woodland Hills, Calabasas, West Hills, Agoura, Westlake, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Simi Valley, and Newbury Park. If your home is within 30 minutes of any of these locations, you can easily be a part of our program this summer. Salary: Salaries vary based on position and previous experience. The range for a first-year staff person is approximately $5,300 - $7,000 for a 10-week summer.
