Camp Walden is a traditional, co-ed, residential, private, family-owned, non-sectarian summer camp. Walden will be entering its 61st year this summer. It is located in Northern Michigan on a small pristine inland lake and in an old-growth forest. Counselors at Walden live in cabins with campers and also teach at activity areas. Walden is a choice program which means that all of the campers will have their own schedule during the day and likewise for counselors. Counselors need to have a desire to work with children and also possess a skill or skills that are relevant to the activities we offer. We have an extensive menu of activities including waterfront, athletics, drama, arts & crafts, campcraft, tripping, radio/media and riding. We also have positions available to Trippers who take campers on various overnight camping/hiking/swimming trips throughout Northern Michigan.
