    Job Description

    The Campaigns Advisor will help support Oxfam America (OUS) advocacy campaigns as a versatile, solutions-oriented team member capable of managing diverse responsibilities across campaign planning and execution. They will be a creative-thinker and self-starter, project managing and running projects, implementing campaign tactics including events, actions, mobilizations and other projects. They will proactively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment and help drive impact on behalf of Oxfam’s advocacy agenda. They will conduct focused campaigns research and help Oxfam influence decision-makers on our US advocacy agenda by coordinating and implementing tactics to achieve policy, culture and political change within the United States with a goal of fighting inequality and its impacts on poverty. They will support a multi-functional campaign team to develop and implement campaign activities around the US. They will engage in coalitions, support state-based work and help Oxfam engage its current supporters and expand its supporter base.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Campaign Planning & Execution

    • Lead the implementation of campaign activities across multiple issue areas.
    • Serve as project lead for events, actions, and mobilizations, including travel as needed.
    • Generate creative campaign ideas and contribute to innovation in advocacy strategies.
    • Support campaign monitoring and learning efforts.

    Research & Strategy Support

    • Conduct research and power mapping to identify key decision-makers and influence targets.
    • Track political, private sector, and global developments relevant to advocacy priorities.

    Stakeholder Engagement & Coalition Building

    • Coordinate outreach with key allies, coalitions, and networks to advance campaign goals.
    • Help expand Oxfam’s supporter base and maintain relationships with partner organizations.

    Internal Collaboration

    • Work with internal teams across digital, media, policy, and public engagement to align strategies and implement joint tactics.

    • Travel and Work Schedule Flexibility: Domestic and international travel required up to 35% of the time. Periodic evening and weekend work required based on campaign needs and key events.

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in public policy, political science, international development, or related field; or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

    Experience and Core Competencies:

    • 4-6 years of experience in public policy, advocacy campaigning, or political engagement.
    • Experience coordinating campaign activities and mobilizations in domestic or international contexts.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences—both orally and in writing.
    • Knowledge of US policymaking processes and experience influencing government and/or private sector actors.
    • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
    • Commitment to equity, gender justice, and racial justice.
    • Experience using internet-based or digital campaigning strategies is a plus.

    Salary Range - $80,000 - $85,000

    Exempt / Union / Band G
