    Job Summary:

    • We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Camper Van Conversion Technician to join our team. This position involves converting standard vans into fully functional camper vans, including installing electrical systems, plumbing, insulation, cabinetry, and custom components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trades such as carpentry, 12V electrical systems, plumbing, and general fabrication.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Build and install custom cabinetry, beds, storage units, and other interior features

    • Wire and install 12V/110V electrical systems, including solar panels, batteries, inverters, lighting, and appliances

    • Install freshwater and greywater plumbing systems, including tanks, pumps, and fixtures

    • Insulate and soundproof van interiors using appropriate materials

    • Ensure all installations meet safety standards and client specifications

    • Use power tools, hand tools, and shop equipment in a safe and efficient manner

    • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or design plans

    • Collaborate with design and project managers to ensure timely project completion

    • Troubleshoot issues and make adjustments or repairs as needed

    • Maintain a clean and organized work area

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in van builds, RV conversions, or related trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, fabrication)

    • Strong knowledge of 12V DC and 110V AC systems

    • Experience working with solar power systems is a plus

    • Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics

    • Proficient with power tools and construction equipment

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

    • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks in tight spaces

    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

    Preferred:

    • Experience in custom fabrication or CNC woodworking

    • Familiarity with insulation techniques and moisture control

    • Welding or metalwork experience is a bonus
