Job Description

Campland on the Bay is a full-service, destination RV resort. Located in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego, we occupy 40 prime acres on Mission Bay just east of Crown Point. Our Market is a convenience retail store that sells specialty coffee drinks, RV parts and other RV products, clothing and souvenirs, alcohol, snack foods and drinks, groceries, dairy products and tickets to local attractions.

Our baristas/cashiers make specialty coffee drinks, provide friendly assistance to our guests, transact sales using cash registers, keep the market clean and stocked, balance cash drawers and prepare required reports. Requires current San Diego County food handler's card.

Essential duties include reliable attendance, learning and executing the coffee drink menu, keeping the coffee prep area clean and stocked, communicating with and assisting our guests, transacting sales with cash registers, handling cash, effective interpersonal communications, cleaning and stocking the store, using the baler and various market equipment, and acceptable attendance. Essential physical requirements include maintaining acceptable personal grooming, standing for long periods, moving about the store, walk-in freezer and unloading area, speaking, understanding speech, listening, manipulating objects large and small, lifting/pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be at least 21 years of age to meet ABC requirements. Requires morning and evening shifts as well as weekends and holidays. Pays $15.00/hour DOE plus employee perks and summer bonus. Must be at least 21 years old. Two-four shifts/week. Shifts typically 5 - 8 hours. This is mostly an indoor work environment with occasional work in the outside loading area.

Must be proficient to memorize, mix and serve specialty coffee drinks, use a cash register, accurately transact cash and credit card sales and balance register drawers. Requires positive and outgoing attitudes, strong customer service experience, good interpersonal skills with resort guests, co-workers, and management, good grooming standards, and the ability to work as team player.
