    Job Description

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support the development, implementation, and delivery of strategic communications plans, including appropriate measurement and metrics
    • Manage US Consumer PR agency
    • Manage annual PR and project budgets
    • Co-manage Affiliate marketing budget
    • Develop and implement creative, fresh ideas that will move the brand and company forward
    • Build and foster strong relationships and regularly engage with reporters to create and maximize media opportunities
    • Secure consistent media coverage and product placement in brand appropriate national and regional publications
    • Develop and write/edit communications materials, including press releases, alerts, messaging
    • Prepare media briefings and facilitate interviews for company spokespeople
    • Work cross functionally to optimize impact and ensure consistent voice and success of integrated activities
    • Host media during trips, events and activities aligned to the company’s strategic goals

    EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND DESIGNATIONS:

    • 6 – 8 years of experience in a management role either in-house or with a communications agency – agency experience preferred
    • Degree in marketing, public relations/communications, or journalism
    • Demonstrated success in managing integrated communications programs
    • Demonstrated media relations expertise and success in both strategy and execution
    • Proven experience managing and developing a direct report to their fullest potential

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

    • Innovative and creative thinker, with track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans
    • Demonstrated expertise in developing/managing integrated communications programs, including large-scale events and campaigns
    • Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive in bringing forward actionable ideas
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Extensive expertise of the US media landscape, with established and proven relationships with fashion, lifestyle and consumer media
    • Exceptional, articulate communicator with superior journalistic and writing skills, as well as strong verbal and presentation skills
    • United States specific experience 
    • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and operates with a sense of purpose and urgency
    • Outdoor, Fashion, and Luxury brand experience is an advantage

           

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Remote until COVID-19 restrictions lift then office environment
    • 10% Travel
