    Internal Job Title: Manufacturing Technical Specialist
    Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
    Location: 350 Stinson Drive. Danville VA
    Work Model: On-site

    Position Summary
    As a Manufacturing Technical Specialist in CBN STI’s Plant Operations group, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving manufacturing processes, project managing manufacturing initiatives, and ensuring that our finished products are of the highest quality.

    What You Will Do

    • Analyze, evaluate and improve manufacturing processes and efficiency;
    • Support manufacturing decision-making through analysis of costs, schedules, etc.;
    • Prepare and deliver product and process reports;
    • Manage manufacturing projects from concept to completion;
    • Provide justification for/support implementation of manufacturing equipment;
    • Assure product and process quality though design of test methods and finished product testing and establishment of standards;
    • Ensure compliance with all regulations; and
    • Various other duties and responsibilities.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    • Degree in science or engineering or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
    • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment
    • Familiarity with Six Sigma, FMEA, lean manufacturing and ISO 9001:2000 is an asset
    • Familiarity with statistical analysis is an asset
    • Exposure to computer vision systems is an asset

    Mandatory Requirements

    • Fluency in English
    • Ability to travel domestically/internationally approx. 2-5 weeks a year
