    Job Description

    JOB PURPOSE

    The purpose of this role is to work in a team-oriented environment designing and detailing the electrical systems for coordination and preparation of electrical installation drawings for various types of construction projects.

    KEY RESULT AREA (KRA’S)

    1.       Detail all electrical systems to utilize pre-fab to its full extent.

    2.       Detail installation drawings for all items outside of pre-fabrication to streamline installation process for Foreman on non pre-fab items.

    3.       Design build a job from start to finish using CECI’s standards to eliminate outsource engineering.

    4.       (BIM) Model electrical systems in 3D that fulfill contract requirements and streamlines process for ordering materials.

    5.       Job set up to successfully build project

    KRA 1

    •  Reviews drawings and determine what assembly to use based on drawings
    • Place assemblies (families) in Revit Model
    • Create material list and build sheets
    •   Distributes material list and build sheets to appropriate department/people (directly to prefab)

    KRA 2

    • Reviews drawings and determine what assembly to use base on drawings
    • Place assemblies in Revit Model
    • Create material list and build sheets
    • Distribute material list and build sheets to appropriate department/people (directly to field)

    KRA 3

    • Attends all DB meetings to meet owner requirements
    • Place electrical systems in Revit and/or AutoCad using architectural floor plans/elevation plans  
    • Effectively communicate and coordinate with other trades to verify any electrical needs
    • Create electrical drawings from model and submit for approval to appropriate person(s)

    KRA 4

    • Set up project (s)
    • Insert electrical components into model based using DB criteria or HB drawings
    • Detail project for pre-fab/non pre-fab installation
    • Attend coordination meetings and make adjustments to model as needed

    KRA 5

    • Utilize CECI’s standard template to set up projects
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Four-year degree in electrical engineering or related course of study from an accredited school or equivalent combination of education, technical training, and/or related experience in the electrical contractor or comparable industry
    • Five years of related experience in same or comparable industry

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES

    • Thorough understanding of NEC and CEC
    • Proven constructability knowledge
    • Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information.
    • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
    • Ability to smoothly handle a variety of situations and problems that may arise, sometimes several at a time, and either solve them or work with others involved in order to come to cooperative resolution
    • Ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects and/or tasks simultaneously
    • Proficient in Software/Computer programs and equipment.
      • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,Outlook, etc.)
      • Design Software (Revit, AutoCad, Trimble, Design Masters, etc.)
      • Blue Beam
      • General office equipment
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
