    Our client, a top manufacturer of CBD products, is seeking a charismatic Director of Human Resources to create, direct and lead the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function for a rapidly growing cannabis company based in the Los Angeles area.

    Working in a professional environment, the Director of Human Resources will establish and set policies and procedures for the HR department, and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.

    The position requires a highly experienced Human Resources professional, possessing excellent communication, leadership and relationship management skills to help preserve and evolve their culture and work environment.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage Human Resources for multiple aspects of business including, hemp derived CBD manufacturing, cannabis manufacturing and distribution and adult-use cannabis retail and delivery
    • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance.
    • Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
    • Responsible for developing corporate plans for employee relations, compensation, benefits, health and safety, talent acquisition and organizational development
    • Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary program.
    • Ability to work on several projects at once, and must have a great sense of business acumen, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills as they work with employees and executive level personnel frequently.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years related experience in human resources, business administration or relevant field
    • Experience developing and implementing HR initiatives
    • Highly knowledgeable of employment legislations, HR management principles, and cannabis regulations
    • Cannabis or related field is preferred
    • Strengths in employee relations, insurance and benefits administration, payroll, leadership development and recruitment
    • Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement, preferred

    COMPENSATION | $140-150K plus benefits
