    Our client, a cannabis industry leading agriculture biotechnology company, is seeking a visionary and experienced leader to execute an ambitious strategic vision to grow revenue and rapidly deliver new products to market.

    Working out of the corporate headquarters near Boulder CO, the CEO will lead the growth and expansion of this venture-backed early stage company, that is pioneering scientifically-proven biologic solutions for cannabis growers.

    CEO JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide inspired leadership company-wide.
    • Make high-level decisions about policy and strategy with strong input from stakeholders.
    • Report to the board of directors and keep them informed in a timely, accurate and efficient manner, while holding the board of directors accountable.
    • Maintain strong investor relations and create profitability.
    • Develop and implement operational policies and a strategic plan.
    • Act as the primary spokesperson for the company.
    • Support the company’s culture and overall company vision.
    • Create an environment that promotes excellent performance and positive morale.
    • Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgets, reporting, and auditing.
    • Assure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
    • Identify and address risks and opportunities for the company.
    • Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations in the industry.
    • Oversee executive leadership team who manages day-to-day operations of the company.
    • Work closely with the human resource director to ensure top talent is hired and retained across leadership and all functions.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

    • Previous experience as a CEO (or equivalent) in biotechnology, agriculture, commercial cannabis or related fields.
    • Deep knowledge of the cannabis industry
    • Proven track record in successfully developing and executing a clear strategy as well as hitting deadlines and objectives.
    • Experience in scaling early to mid stage companies to series B and beyond.
    • Demonstrated ability to increase revenue through a data-driven process
    • Providing Operational Excellence in getting products to market, launching products from R&D to commercialization and procuring and keeping large, key accounts.
    • Proven ability to raise capital and is a proven ‘builder’ of companies and teams.
    • Ability to clearly communicate an exciting company story internally and externally

    • Delegation and execution - allow the smart people working for them to do their job, and give clear, concise directions
    • Proven negotiation skills

    COMPENSATION PACKAGE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:  $225-250K Base Salary, Plus Annual Bonus, Equity and Full Health Benefits
