    Our client, a multi-state cannabis operator is seeking an SVP of Facilities and Manufacturing.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading all Facilities and Manufacturing operations within the company as well as  aligning corporate directives and initiatives, ensuring the required level of quality, safety, and service is achieved by holding the staff accountable. The SVP of Facilities and Manufacturing will lead in facility design, equipment selection, scientific development, product formulation, identifying and tracking KPIs established by executive management and will be responsible for ensuring brand and product alignment. Additionally, this role will be directly involved in managing safety programs and compliance, ensuring all state and local regulations are followed. The role will be remote with travel between CA and NV. Must live in or be willing to relocate to one of those states.  

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with the CEO to make operational decisions related to the manufacturing of cannabis products
    • Assist with process and product development for all forms of cannabis oil, distillate, concentrates, and vaporization products
    • Optimize and scale up existing products and processes
    • Develop and innovate extraction methodologies (CO2, LPG, and SL), refinement and distillation processes in collaboration with local teams
    • Work with manufacturing teams to solve difficult technical problems and coach personnel in solving technical problems
    • Assist local operations with equipment installations and upgrades in collaboration with vendors and partners
    • Provide technical support to regional directors to ensure process and equipment functionality and optimization
    • Develop training and implementation programs as they relate to acquisitions and process improvement
    • Develop and maintain KPIs for monitoring operational and equipment efficiency of manufacturing programs
    • Work closely with vendors, construction project managers, procurement, and accounting as it relates to equipment selection, engineering coordination and purchasing
    • Work with local directors and manufacturing team members to standardize processes and scientific developments across all locations
    • Evaluate performance of operations by gathering and analyzing data and metrics
    • Collaborate with quality to document all process SOPs, manufacturing protocols, MMR’s, and batch records with the utilization of QMS to ensure consistent products and high-quality control

    Education and Required Skills:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Engineering, or similar field with equivalent industry experience
    • Proven experience managing equipment, product, staff, and resources in a large-scale cannabis or manufacturing operation
    • Strong working knowledge of extraction methodologies (CO2, hydrocarbon, solventless, ethanol)
    • Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations, local and state governing bodies, OSHA, and other relevant worker safety regulations in a manufacturing environment
    • Industry experience in cannabis, hemp, alternative medicine, dietary supplement, or pharmaceutical industry
    • Laboratory, formulation, compounding and use of laboratory equipment and manufacturing tools required
    • Proficient in general chemistry formulation and pharmacy compounding equations
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve manufacturing objectives in terms of volume, product mix, cost, and quality
    • Extensive knowledge in environmental, health and safety standards in laboratory, pharmaceutical, or food safety operations required

    Compensation: 200,000-225,000
