Our client, a vertically integrated and diversified company in the cannabis industry, is seeking a Technical Writer for their rapidly expanding nationwide cannabis operations.
As a part of the Operations Team, the Technical Writer will report directly to the VP of Product and oversee all aspects of technical writing and compliance documentation for their New York based company.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Codify processes & documentation for information storage and version control
Document plant genetics, strain lists, solvents, EQ lists & operational inputs
Write operational SOPs (wholesale & retail) and draft/maintain compliance and procedural checklists
Draft and maintain compliance checklists & documentation
Steward intellectual property collection, submission and maintain documentation
Write and update training materials for growing, extraction and processing
Organize supporting materials/inputs for product lines
Document management of all equipment Cut sheets, OEM operations manuals, and training/equipment maintenance schedule status audits.
SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor degree or higher required
Experience working in product manufacturing in a regulated industry
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications. (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience developing and creating compelling communications materials (written and audio/visual) intended to translate complex technical or scientific information to the general public and layperson audiences.
Excellent proofreading and editing skills and strong knowledge of associated press (AP) style.
Strength in creating & driving processes and orderly organization systems
COMPENSATION: $160-175K Plus Bonus and Equity
