    Our client, a leading Hemp Testing laboratory, is seeking an Analytical Chemist for their Ventura County facility.

    The Laboratory Analyst will work closely with the Lab Director to execute sample analysis for their Hemp clients using HPLC, ICP-MS, GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS instruments.

    This position must work under the current ISO 17025 standards, and will be responsible for all work performed in support of their assigned assay.

    PREFERENCE PLACED ON CANDIDATES WITH PRIOR HEMP EXPERIENCE

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Routine analysis of samples using analytical procedures for which training has occurred.
    • Participate in OOS & CAPA reports, as assigned.
    • Must be able to obtain traceable, reproducible, and reliable results with limited supervision. 
    • Scientific writing for reporting, data management reporting, and ability to follow standard operating procedures a must.
    • Routine and non-routine equipment maintenance of analytical instruments.
    • Successful completion of proficiency testing samples and initial demonstration of capability to demonstrate competence as required for certifications or customer requests.
    • Participate in the revision of existing procedures and the drafting of new procedures under the supervision of the Laboratory Director.

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry or related Chemistry field required.
    • Must have experience with analytical techniques including, but not limited to: GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, and HPLC.
    • Must have a history of working in a production laboratory and an understanding of meeting deadlines.
    • Familiar with California State regulations for Cannabis and Hemp (a plus)
    • Proficient with current computer systems including Microsoft Office
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Hands on experience with organic extraction, analytical chemistry techniques, and product development
    • ISO 17025 experience

    SALARY: $52,000 Plus Benefits
