    Our client, a premier cannabis company with a number of popular products, is searching for Senior General Ledger Accountant. 

    This person will perform daily operations of the accounting department, perform monthly close processes, and ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of all financial data. Also, the Senior General Ledger Accountant will assist in setting and maintaining accounting policies and execution and will create new processes to support efficiencies.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Account for full cycle general ledger monthly, quarterly and annual close process and related activities to ensure accounts are properly reconciled and reported in accordance with U.S. GAAP
    • Manage/coordinate regular closing activities such as journal entries, account reconciliations and financial review and analysis. Ensure deadlines are met in accordance with company’s policies and procedures
    • Prepare account level fluctuation analyses
    • Drive process improvement and automation efforts across all areas of Finance
    • Draft and implement key policies and procedures
    • Partner closely with Accounting to support monthly variance analysis, forecasts, and annual plan
    • Prepare a cash flow forecast
    • Assist with the preparation of financial reports provided to management

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance is required
    • 5+ years of experience in a high-growth and fast-paced environment
    • 4+ years in a supervisory role within an accounting team required
    • Extensive experience in the development and application of policies and procedures
    • Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, team player with a strong working knowledge of system processes and GAAP
    • Proficiency in account reconciliations and closing procedures required
    • Previous experience in manufacturing is strongly preferred

    Compensation: $95k to $100k plus benefits
