CannabizTEMP is immediately seeking a Paralegal for a firm in Downtown San Diego.

The Paralegal should be organized and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Responsibilities include filling out forms, data entry, and client communication over the phone. The ideal candidate must have strong attention to detail, and be able to work independently. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple deadlines
• Ability to move cases forward with little supervision
• Familiarity with California law
• Draft various pleadings
• Identify and understand each client-specific billing guidelines to ensure work is being performed within those guidelines.
• Monitor and case management of litigation files, including tracking deadlines
• Review and respond to written discovery requests
• Assist attorneys with exhibits, documents, and file preparation for deposition, arbitration, and trial

Job Requirements:

• AA or Bachelors
• Paralegal Certification preferred
• Please be prepared with writing samples for consideration

Compensation: $18-19/hour DOE
