Senior Systems Engineer
The Senior Systems Engineer will be a key part of the IT group in charge of the health and performance of the systems infrastructure including: systems design, configuration, virtualization, and backup and security updates. The successful candidate will like solving challenges and making things more efficient. This team environment needs a well-rounded individual with skills across the following areas: Windows, VMware, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, storage, backup and security.
Can you anticipate operational issues before problems disrupt business? Do you have a handle on the trends and innovations in the virtual hosting and management space? Ideal candidates will help scale and make improvements to existing processes in order to streamline operations and support functions.
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of professional experience supporting mission critical Windows infrastructure.
3+ years VMware experience and virtualization experience
Professional experience with Windows components including SCCM, WSUS, SCOM, DNS
Moderate level of understanding of SQL scripting for database maintenance.
VPN, firewall experience, and foundation of security best practices
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Backup and recovery. Ability to analyze security risks.
2+ years previous experience in Network Analysis
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
Problem solving ability and creative thinking aptitude.
Commitment to staying up to date with new technologies and practices.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent related experience required.
