APPLICATION DEVELOPER
Amidst the pandemic we are still looking to hire a Mid-level Application Developer needed for financial services firm in downtown Boston. Primary responsibilities will be across backend SQL database development and front end .Net, C# web application development. Opportunity for growth and a career path into a Technical Lead role. Preference given to candidates who have worked in large multi TB database environments.
The right candidate will be excited about contributing more than just heads down development. If you see something that could be improved, bring it to the table. The team's success has stemmed from collaboration and innovation. Financial industry experience is desired, and basic understanding of investment concepts and equity trading practices will be an advantage. Experience working on real time trading applications a large plus.
This position will be ideal for a hands-on .Net or SQL Developer who also has solid, proven experience developing applications in C#. Well-rounded candidates will have a distinct advantage as the team places a high value on both hands-on technical aptitude and the ability to think creatively.
** Initial interview will be done by phone, and final interview via Skype Video.Position is intended to be in-office, but will begin as a remote role due to the current environment.
Requirements:
2-5+ years of hands-on experience writing SQL code (queries, stored procedures, functions).
2+years of C#, ASP.Net application development
Sound object-oriented programming skills and good coding habits.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Experience working in large scale database environments and large data sets.
Must have outstanding communication skills (written and verbal).
Financial Services industry experience a plus.
Bachelor's Degree required. Computer Science degree desired.
