    Job Description

    ABOUT THE POSITION

    Cannonball is seeking an Event Intern dedicated to growing his/her skills while also making a splash here, on our team. You will develop keen sales and events skills by assisting our food + beverage team with outreach to hundreds of vendors. You will also gain hands-on experience by contributing to event preparation, execution, and wrap-up. We are seeking a passionate and hardworking person with a positive attitude who is highly social, excited about learning, and ready to give it 110%!

    • VENDOR ONBOARDING: act as promotional liaison between Cannonball and participating restaurants and vendors, create and manage list of vendors for each event location based on research, onboard and assist in the management of vendor relationships prior to, during and after each festival

    • BOOKING: work with our production managers to source and contract local DJs and bands, photographers, organizations and sponsors.

    • CREATIVE RESEARCH AND EXECUTION: support food & beverage managers in multiple markets; assist in researching local vendors and unique food and beverage concepts for events.

    • VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT: organize and communicate with our 500+ volunteer database across the country. You will be there go-to!

    Almost all of our current full-time staff started with Cannonball through our internship program. We are a dynamic and exciting company looking for new talent. This experience is unique in the expectations of our staff and the variety of events that we produce. No other company in the northeast produces the scale and variety of events that Cannonball does. Interning with Cannonball will immerse you in the world of large event planning and festivals. Our interns have gone on be successful in many aspects of event planning due to the experience they gained with us.

    ABOUT YOU

    • GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • 10-15 hours/week available to devote to this internship
    • Comfortable on the phone pitching event in cold-call format with potential vendors
    • Ability to take direction and work in a dynamic environment
    • A positive, playful disposition (no haters)
    • Discretion and a professional demeanor; sound judgment
    • Strong communication skills
    • Highly organized; keen attention to detail
    • Dependable, punctual and resourceful
    • You are passionate about events and care deeply about customer experience
    • Creative, curious and entrepreneurial spirit; loves thinking of and executing new ideas
    • Bonus: Previous event/sales internship experience and have demonstrated success in that role

    Additional Information

    DURATION

    Spring Internship: Jan-May

    Summer Internship: May-August

    Fall Internship: August-November
