    Multi-Craft Field Service Technician

    Pay: $18-$25/hr. (depending on experience level)

    Shift: Day; will travel to job sites

    Summary:

    • Provide quality installations, repair, preventive maintenance and inspections for these industrial systems, as well as other manufactures of similar systems. Candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical components and circuits. Installation requires layout and fitting of structural steel components, plate, tube, angle welding, grinding rigging etc. Candidate will need to have knowledge of termination of electrical controls and the ability to bring systems online.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 5+ years of work experience with similar types of equipment
    • Valid Driver's License
    • Proven experience with Electrical troubleshooting
    • Machining and Welding skills are preferred
    • Ability to read and understand repair manuals/drawings
    • Ability to analyze problems, recommend solutions, and initiate repairs
    • Ability to use a variety of shop equipment; including drill press, cut-off saw, arbor press, and hydraulic press
    • Ability to obtain customer security badge
    • Good computer abilities including PDA/Smartphone experience

    Work Environment Considerations:

    • Work in various environments and working conditions that depend on the assignment
    • Overtime, weekends, and travel
    • Working at heights & some heavy lifting
    • Must have valid Driver's License

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Read and interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams and schematic drawings.
    • Install, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical equipment (strong knowledge of motor controls) is a plus.
    • Install, program, maintain, document and troubleshoot programmable logic controls and components. A plus
    • Familiarity with 480-volt 3-phase electricity, electrical meters and fuse changes
    • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.
    • Assemble and test motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data
    • Support customers by effectively interfacing with customer and office in repairing
    • equipment as needed.
    • Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs
    • Provide a high level of communication with both Customer and Office.
    • Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
