    Research & Development Coordinator

    Pay: $50k-70k/yr. (Depending on experience)

    Description:

    • Cannonball Recruiting is looking for a Research & Development Coordinator for a large-scale printing company in St. Charles, MO.

    Qualifications:

    • College Degree with business emphasis is helpful
    • Broad knowledge of printing, bindery, and manufacturing of printed products is helpful
    • Attention to detail and professional written/verbal communication is required
    • Must be able to work with modern business software such as Microsoft Office; particularly Microsoft Excel and the numeracy to successfully work with such software a must
    • Must be able to remain in a seated position for long periods of time
    • The ability to see, hear, count, measure, read and follow verbal or written directives in English is required
    • The ability to differentiate colors, horizontal and vertical positions is required
    • Ability to visualize relational aspects of layered label constructions
    • Ability to travel when needed to provide technical sales support to customers and the company sales team

    Job Details:

    • Plan and ensure execution of special projects based on customer packaging and label needs
    • Prepare and deliver reports, updates and projects according to Elite Plant Standards
    • Look at all issues from a proactive strategic perspective, eliminate causes and find effective solutions
    • Get ideas across in a clear and understandable way
    • Handle tough conversations appropriately, maturely and in a timely manner
    • Maintain attention to detail in long term development and implementation of Process Improvement, Trials and R&D initiatives
    • Maintain appropriate urgency in working with timelines and deadlines setting appropriate priorities
    • Take ownership of lean/six sigma process improvement
    • Expect and encourage employees to develop new and better ways of doing things
    • Support the efforts of departments to hit required metrics while meeting the requirements of all initiatives
    • Consider all appropriate data when making decisions
    • Make decisions in a timely manner in order to solve problems quickly and effectively
    • Utilize own and other employees’ expertise to identify and solve problems
    • Work closely with the leadership team to ensure that Elite Plant Standards are met; welcome comments from peers about department effectiveness and individual/team performance
