  • Responsibilities

    $60-65k/yr. 

    Based out of Wrightsville, PA but must be willing to travel across the United States. 75% travel, 25% shop.

    Summary:

    • The Field Service Engineer will be providing customer support for steel fabricating equipment to companies across the United States.  This position will require 75% travelling and 25% shop work, so the candidate must be within commute to Wrightsville, PA.

    Requirements:

    • Strong Electro-Mechanical background or recent technical degree graduate is ideal
    • Must be willing to travel the United States; be comfortable with flying, driving, etc...
    • Ability to read pneumatic/hydraulic/electrical/electronic schematics
    • Knowledge of motion control utilizing servo drives, PLC's, proximity switches, limit switches, photo-electrical switches, and touch screen technology
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills
    • Must be able to multi-task and work with limited supervision
    • Must be willing to utilize the latest technology to enhance our customer experience
    • Excellent attention to detail and strong follow-up skills
    • B.S. Degree in electronics or electrical engineering is preferred
    • 2+ to 5 years of relevant experience is preferred
    • Willingness to work some extended hours

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical support via phone, video, chat, and email to customers and field service technicians, as well as in house manufacturing
    • Log customer issues in ERP system and follow up with customers to confirm success of technical support
    • Troubleshooting of industrial electrical, mechanical, electric motors, hydraulics and pneumatics with strong knowledge of motor control systems including
      3 phase power, VFD, PLC and Servo drive technologies
    • Working with customers at all levels ranging from the shop floor to senior leadership in a professional manner
    • Participate in the design of new machines and material handling systems developed for customer applications
    • Meet service metrics based on timely ticket completion, re-open rate, and customer satisfaction
