  • Responsibilities

    Printing Press Operator

    Pay: $20/hr. (Depending on experience level)

    2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday (3pm to 1am)

    {May train on 1st Shift and May work on weekends/holidays as needed}

    Summary:

    • This position operates Commercial Press; Un-winder and Rewinder

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
    • Physically fit: Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, twist, balance, climb and heavy lift up to 60lbs
    • Sensory Tests may be performed: depth perception, near/ field vision, temperature, color and tactile discrimination
    • Interacts well with others

    Job Duties:

    • Initiate the start-up and operation of print equipment to produce product to specification
    • Assist with change-over of raw materials and equipment settings to accommodate production schedule
    • Assist with set-up of equipment, including loading of raw materials (substrate and inks) and adjustment of controls
    • Manage input and output of materials through the printing process, including spooling of finished product.
    • Monitor quality of operations and adjust machine settings and ink characteristics to ensure production to specification
    • Re-set footage counter when needed
    • Mount sleeves/cylinders when necessary
    • Responsible for properly cleaning air mandrels and print cylinders
    • Perform hoist Inspections
    • Operator fork truck, clamp truck and pole truck as needed
    • Complete all necessary documentation and paperwork
    • Assist with change-over and clean-up at completion of production runs
    • Work overtime as needed, including weekends and holidays
    • Be willing to work other shifts as needed
    • Other duties as assigned by management
