JOB PURPOSE

You will work closely with the Department Manager to deliver Automotive Prototype projects on-time with the highest level of quality. You should be comfortable with 3, 3+2, and 5 Axis milling and contouring. You will be responsible for the engineering and application of unique and creative fixturing methods throughout the machine shop in order to reduce setups and tooling for prototype parts and models. As an ideal candidate, you are a motivated self-starter who can work independently and without supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and operate 5 Axis CNC Mills running 1 off prototype parts
• Work with programmers to develop efficient and creative working holding solutions
• Work closely with CAM Programmers to complete projects and tasks
• Maintain quality of all work completed in the Machine Shop
• Maintain Machine Shop inventory
• Perform daily maintenance tasks related to Machine Shop and CNC Equipment
• Ability to follow detailed drawings and execute tasks at a high level of detail and quality
• Critical thinking skills to devise solutions to new problems
• Clean and organized worker to maintain overall shop cleanliness and organization
• Ability to work in a team environment and willing to help others

EXPERIENCE

• 10+ years of CNC Set-Up experience in a Prototype / Job Shop environment
• Technical or Trade School degree is preferred
• Model/Prop Making experience is a plus
• CAD experience is a plus
