JOB DESCRIPTION 

The Package Buck Engineer is very organized, self-motivated and versed in various disciplines of engineering (mechanical, packaging, electrical, Catia, CMM, fabrication). 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Generating CAD models using Catia (Canoo uses V6 but willing to train V5 users) 
• Develop flat patterns, build instruction, assembly sequence instructions and weldment drawings  
• Create and manage detailed bill-of-materials  
• Request quotes from suppliers for manufacturing components 
• Submitting and managing purchase orders using Oracle 
• Manage budget and create reports for expenses 
• Work closely with the in-house manufacturing team to facilitate construction of package buck 
• Perform basic construction / assembly / wood working 
• Manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time and is proficient at time management

EXPERIENCE

• Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent 
• 2+ years of Catia experience 
• Previous fabrication experience 
• Previous experience designing armatures and mechanical systems 
• 7+ years automotive experience 
• Must be capable of lifting 50lbs unassisted
