    JOB PURPOSE

    The Software Test Engineer Intern will be responsible for planning, conducting and reviewing testing activities to ensure the correct operation of in Vehicle ECUs(electronic control units). This is a paid internship for Summer 2021 with an option to start on May 24, 2021 or June 21, 2021 and an option to end on August 13, 2021 or September 10, 2021.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Drive testing across multiple vehicle areas: powertrain, battery, ADAS, chassis, and body
    • Conduct development and validation testing on in-vehicle ECUs using state of the art hardware in the loop test equipment and the engineering vehicle test fleet
    • Specify and plan installation of test equipment and facilities
    • Create and parameterize Simulink Vehicle Dynamics models, ADAS Sensor Models, powertrain and battery models
    • Create test to requirements coverage matrix for vehicle and ECU level features
    • Automation of test cases and test environment to achieve “lights out” testing
    • Support debug of software issues at HIL bench and vehicle level
    • Testing of CAN conformance and UDS diagnostics services
    • Support labcar testing and debug of in-vehicle software issues

    EXPERIENCE

    • Currently pursuing or recently completed Bachelor's/Master's/Phd in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
    • Experience in a fast paced Formula Motorsports team/racing design, build, test environment
    • Experience with HIL test tools: dSPACE control desk, Scalexio, Motion desk. CAN Bus, Vector CANoe/CANalyzer , CAN.diva CAPL programming, Python or equivalent.
    • Clean driving license and desire to succeed in electric vehicle engineering field
    • Experience developing control systems in Mathworks Simulink, m-script
    • Diagnostics experience: UDS ISO14229, CANdela studio, ODX, CANoe.Diva
    • General vehicle harness debugging/wiring/crimping skills
    • Solid understanding of HIL Testing methodologies and tools
