JOB PURPOSE

Strive to provide value continuously to the product and ultimately the customer. Define the strategy for engineering the product requirements at to enable implementation of features into the product. Create a comprehensive scenario to which the product may be subjected to during the operation and develop strategies and requirements to effectively manage the situations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze the product application from multiple scenario perspectives and define various scenarios during the operation of the product
• Work with project dependent safety engineer to implement robust and complete safety requirements into FSRs and TSRs addressing various scenarios
• Work with the test and validation team to verify functional operation to technical specification and update the requirements as necessary from test feedback
• Ensure the input into the development process is updated as issues are found during each testing phase
• Effectively communicate with the rest of the organization when issues or failures arise

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years managerial level experience
• High level of oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal effectiveness and escalate issues to management in a timely manner
• Experience in systems engineering and requirements development
• Knowledge/Experience in safety engineering processes like SOTIF & functional safety
• Professional experience in active safety systems/ADAS and/or AVs
• Demonstrated performance in a position requiring engineering technical excellence
• Occasional travel required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• Automotive OEM experience plus Tier-1 supplier interactions
