    JOB PURPOSE

    Own the skateboard engineering launch activities. Collaborate with other stakeholders to identify, root cause and resolve launch issues. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support the Supplier Quality activities prior and during the build activities 
    • Support the product development and manufacturing process during the build phases and launch
    • Collect, document and triage the build issues and lead the issue root cause activities
    • Work with the stakeholders to define, test and implement issue resolutions 
    • Support engineering design change trials 
    • Review, sign-off and trial supplier requests for component changes 
    • Assist Incoming Quality and Assist End-of-Line Testing 
    • Support Assembly Plant cost and quality idea generation sessions 
    • Support finished vehicle and assembly process audits 
    • Implement short and long term countermeasures to support build schedule and validate improvements
    • Travel required: Up to 75%

    QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Equivalent 
    • 10+ years of launching new programs 
    • Strong body shop experience, knowledge of body in white construction and joining techniques
    • Paint shop experience on coating and sealing 
    • Deep understanding of dimensional management 
    • Demonstrate excellent level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues.
